Sundays are the perfect day of the week. Sunday brunch, lazily lounging in bed, or if you’re an early riser, I can imagine you’ve stepped out for your coffee and newspaper. We hope you took care of most of your errands on Saturday (Sunday is off limits to errands outside of going to the farmers market). So what makes the perfect Sunday, and how do you ward off any negative energy heading into the week? Welcome to The Sunday List. 

The Black southern granddaughter doesn’t necessarily turn into a younger version of her elders; she embraces her southern roots and familial relationships and uses that to shape her aesthetic. This brings me to the second reason. She leans into those southern roots and the pride that is established with being from the South.

Issue 5 is here. As every summer, many of us have vacation plans, weddings to attend, and new hobbies we want to try. All the summer feels. However, I'm reminded of the song Wary by Solange at such a time like this. She sings, “Be wary of the ways of the world. I’m wary of the ways of the world.” So am I.
