College Football is back, we are entering the second week of the US Open, and our last summer holiday weekend is here! Starting with a four-day work week is already an ideal start to the week; everyone say thank you to labor unions. Let's get into my perfect holiday Sunday routine. (This also doubles as the perfect holiday off-work routine)
With the extra time in your day, I suggest first getting active. Since we are not rushing to be in bed by eight pm tonight, you can ease into the day—nothing I love more than starting with a morning tennis session or mat pilates workout. I personally love Morgan’s Move with MoJo YouTube classes for at-home mat pilates. She will absolutely kick your butt in the best way. There are so many verticals and levels she teaches on her page. Trust me, you will love it.
A refreshing lunch and dinner are perfect for today. I suggest grilling or BBQ food! Why wait until tomorrow to grill? If you don't want the same proteins as usual, try grilled trout, branzino, snapper, or salmon. A citrus vinaigrette side salad would pair perfectly with either choice. It's also a great option because there's no fuss in making this dish.
Since we are enjoying the ease of the holiday weekend, I’m plopping on the couch with a snack and switching between the US Open and WNBA games. If you don’t watch professional tennis or the WNBA, consider this your free pass to change your mind. Now, if you aren't a sports person, then you can't go wrong with a trip to the movies. There are a decent number of new releases that include Spike Lee's Highest 2 Lowest, Fantastic Four, Superman, and if you are basically in the spooky mindset, then have fun with The Conjuring: Last Rites. You can't go wrong with this Sunday routine.
I hope your week is better than the last.
